Especialistas em saúde pediram que o governo desse tempo ao NHS para preparar um programa de reforço das vacinas contra a Covid-19.
Além disso, o vice-presidente do Comitê Conjunto de Vacinação e Imunização levantou preocupações de que a gripe pode ser um "problema maior" do que a Covid neste inverno.
O governo do Reino Unido está preocupado se a distribuição das vacinas contra a Covid-19 e a gripe poderá ser feita simultaneamente e se elas reagirão uma à outra.
Matt Hancock, secretário de saúde do governo, disse que atualmente estão em andamento testes para que as vacinas contra gripe e Covid sejam administradas juntas.
Hancock disse à BBC News: “Quando soubermos os resultados (do estudo sobre a mistura de vacinas), definiremos os planos completos para o programa de reforço durante o outono.”
Enquanto o governo pressiona por doses de reforço e para que todo o Reino Unido seja vacinado, os "casos de avanço" da Covid parecem estar aumentando ao redor do mundo.
Na Indonésia, mais de 350 médicos e profissionais de saúde testaram positivo para Covid-19, apesar de estarem totalmente vacinados, mostrando que a vacina é completamente ineficaz em fornecer imunidade ao vírus.
Se estes “casos inovadores” estão a aumentar, então qual é o sentido de receber uma dose de reforço de uma vacina experimental que não só é ineficaz como também tem causou inúmeras reações adversas graves, incluindo coágulos sanguíneos e paralisia.
